I show you a great 1951 Antoine Di Mauro Saint Louis Blues:
These models sell like hot cakes, so contact me for more info. My reserve on Ebay is at 3,400$. For a sale directly from my site you can get it for less. SOLD to Herbert.
I had already 3 Antoine Di Mauro Saint Louis Blues, and the 3 I had were all maple back and sides, maple neck and cedar top. I like the expression of a player who visits gypsyguitarfans and says that the cedar top gives warmth and the maple gives staccato and it is why these guitars are so punchy and responsive and why they are loved by their owners.
I just posted below a couple of videos of a great one which was sold to Lou Boustani, a great accompanist who lives in Montreal. This guitar belonged to a famous gypsy player in France, Pitou Weiss, of the famous Weiss family. I posted also two videos with Denis Chang playing the same guitar, on one video you hear me also on a AJL I had which was great but could not compete with the DMSLB anymore than I could compete with Denis.
Right now I have 3 more DMSLB for sale, one of which is a rare 1940's, the only one with a spruce top and a mahogany neck. Sweet tone also.
The DMSLB's all have a scale of 650mm, but it has an equal projection and volume to guitars with 670 or 675mm, if not superior. Go figure, another myth or misconception which is debunked by reality. But the shorter scale is good for you fingers and your left hand.
